Overview

Disney’s animated movies are ideal for families with young children, but it is hidden to many people that there are racisms portrayed throughout the entire movie.  Disney’s movie Aladdin is often overlooked for its obvious representation of insensitive racism towards Arabs portrayed through illustrations of characters, the statuses which they are placed, as well as the lyrics in the beginning song at the start of the movie.  This movie conceals itself as innocent and natural, yet children are openly exposed to these stereotypes and racisms at such a young age.
